Our Initiatives

Stray Feeding Program

Feeding strays helps the homeless and voiceless animals survive. It also inspires people to be kind. It makes us realize how much power we have to change the lives both of animals and people. Have strayfeeding become part of your routine.

Spay & Neuter Initiative

We have always acknowledged that rescuing is just a band aid solution. This is why Pawssion Project firmly believes that KAPON is really the SOLUTION. Help save lives by sponsoring the neuter cost of a rescue!

Relief Operations

We believe that spreading kindness and love, especially in times of emergencies and calamaties, should be prioritized, and everything else will follow. So we also make it a point to extend assistance to humans as well.

Meet Our Volunteers!

“Being a Pawssion Volunteer has been the most rewarding volunteer experience I’ve ever had. Pawssion Project continues to tremendously help me become the person I aspire to be.”

Yvon Louise Tinaja

Social Media Committee Lead, Sponsorship

“Pawssion Project allows me to live out my life slogan: #HumansForAnimals. I joined in honor of my dog Kimba, who first taught me what I am able to continuously learn and realize as a volunteer of this organization; that caring for animals inspires the qualities in humans that are needed to heal the world: empathy, selfless service, and love.”

Jasmine May Sabado

Adoption, Admin/Research, Fostering, Events, Partners

“Becoming a Pawssion Project Volunteer has really helped change my mindset for the better. There are times when it can get emotionally draining but it has been the most fulfilling work I have ever done in my life. This advocacy has become a new drive and life purpose for me!”

Ish Rodriguez

Website Lead, Adoption & Fostering

“Being the voice of the voiceless is never easy, but it’s always worth it. Through Pawssion Project, I am empowered to do more than just sit and watch.”

Dianne Rodriguez

Internal Initiatives Committee Lead

“Doing volunteer work really changed my life completely. Back then, I could not take seeing pictures of dogs and cats being mistreated by people, it was so painful to me. But as time passed, I knew that I had to do something about it, I had to face all of those painful scenarios that happens every single day. That was why I started advocating for animal welfare here in the Philippines, by means of supporting different organizations in line with it. I also took the chance to become a volunteer for Pawssion Project, to be able to do more and help more animals who are in need. With PAWSsion, I have definitely found my purpose in life. Couldn’t imagine myself leaving this team forever, they are indeed my family.”

Yanna Mendoza

Adoption, Sponsorship, Social Media, Website

“Seeing the rescues live their best lives just fills my heart, and knowing I helped, makes all the struggles worth it.”

Cathy Hojilla

Adoption Committee Assistant Lead, Fostering

Animal Cruelty is a Crime

Helpless animals cannot speak up for themselves. Please do not turn a blind eye and report animal cruelty and pet neglect to the authorities by calling 911 or your barangay.

The Animal Welfare Act

Republic Act No. 8485

SECTION 6. It shall be unlawful for any person to torture any animal, to neglect to provide adequate care, subject any dog or horse to dogfights or horsefights, kill or cause or procure to be tortured or deprived of adequate care, sustenance or shelter, or maltreat or use the same in research or experiments not expressly authorized by the Committee on Animal Welfare.

Punishment: Imprisonment up to 2 years and/or fine up to Php 100,000

Intervention must be done in a way that won’t further endanger the animal.

IF YOU SEE PET NEGLECT

Try a friendly approach first and remind the owner about responsible pet ownership and the Animal Welfare Act. If nothing changes, report the neglect by calling 911 or the barangay. Be willing to take legal action and do your part as witness. Prepare a detailed report along with photos or videos that show proof of consistent neglect.

IF YOU WITNESS ANIMAL CRUELTY

If you see someone directly harming an animal or witness the selling and buying of dogs for meat trade, STOP THE OFFENDER RIGHT AWAY and call 911 or the barangay. The animal is in imminent danger and you are their best chance of survival. Posting on social media will not get the same immediate action as reporting to the authorities.
